  • Intersolar Inda and the 6th Renewable Energy India exhibitions, being held in the month of November (2012) in the cities of Mumbai and Delhi (respectively) are two of the largest exhibitions for the solar industry in particular and renewable industry in general, held in India.

Have a look at the dates on which these two exhibitions are going to be held:

    Intersolar India: November 6 to 8, 2012.

    6th Renewable Energy India: November 7 to 9, 2012.

Do you see it? They clash on two full days - 7th November and 8th November!

Even though these exhibitions are being held at two different cities and even though they are about different themes, there is one large common set between the two - Solar Technologies.

Various vendors, manufacturers, customers, re-sellers, etc. (related to the solar industry) might be confused as to where to exhibit. Even if they choose to exhibit in both the locations, they need to arrange different teams and the important people (MD, etc.) cannot be present in both the locations, at the same time. Since these two exhibitions are being conducted in different cities, traveling between them might be inconvenient.

Also think of the various manufacturers coming from abroad and customers who want to attend (perhaps both the expos) coming from various parts of India. Think about the various important policy-making Govt. officials who might want to attend both. Don't you think this clash in schedule for two related exhibitions is going to confuse people?

I wonder how the organizers did not take this important fact into consideration while planning for their respective events. I hope such things will be avoided from the next year.
