We
would like to inform you that Inox Wind is one of the fastest growing
“Wind Turbine Manufacturer's” in India, offering complete end to
end solutions from concept to commissioning. Being one of the
largest asset owners of wind turbines, we understand the customer’s
expectations and apprehensions.
Installed capacity of Inox Group is
as below:
- Manufactured, Developed and operated by Inox – 108 MW
- Manufactured by Other Supplier – 65.10 MW
INOX
WIND UNIQUE BUSINESS MODEL
Inox
Group has plan to build, own & operate more than 2000 MW in
coming years and has adopted an exceptional business model wherein it
will typically invest around 50% of the capacity of any proposed wind
farm. This is in contrast to the prevailing business model currently
being adopted by other manufactures/suppliers. This will ensure that
your wind sites are one of the best in terms of accuracy in wind data
collection, infrastructure development, operation and maintenance &
other related services.
INOX
- MANUFACTURING UNITS
Inox
is one of most the vertically integrated wind power company having
manufacturing units strategically located in followings areas:
- Nacelle & Hub manufacturing unit at Una district in Himachal Pradesh.
- Tubular Tower manufacturing unit in Ahmadabad, Gujarat.
- Rotor Blade manufacturing unit in Ahmadabad, Gujarat.
Given
that all the key component are manufactured in house, Inox is able to
ensure high quality standards and maintain delivery commitments.
INOX
WIND TECHNOLOGY
In
line with the companies goal to provide the most technologically
advanced products, Inox has collaborated with global technology
leader AMSC Windtec (Austria) to manufacture 2 MW wind turbines under
a global license. Two of AMSC Windtec’s licensees are now among the
top 10 manufacture’s globally, which confirms superiority and
reliability of the technology. More than 7,000 numbers of turbines
are running globally based on AMSC Technology. AMSC Windtec GmbH is a
wholly owned subsidiary of USA based American Super Conductor
Corporation (AMSC), which is a leading energy technology provider
company. Being a leader in alternative energy, AMSC offers an array
of propriety technology and solutions spanning the electric power
infrastructure
Following are inherent characteristic and advantages of INOX wind turbines:
- Double Fed Induction Generator - increased power output & reduced reactive losses
- Patented integral drive train incorporating rotor shaft and gearbox as a single unit – less turbine weight, less moving parts resulting in ease of O & M
- One of the largest rotor diameter's (93 M) in its class – resulting in higher swept area and consequently higher energy yield
- Hub-height of 80 meters – to capture better wind speeds
- Superior power curve – one of lowest cut-in (3m/s) and rated wind speed’s (11.5m/s) resulting in higher power generation
- Advanced electronic control systems resulting in higher machine uptime.
- Many more technological enhancements such as using capacitors instead of battery banks which increases machine uptime
- All critical key components are sourced from reputed global suppliers to ensure high efficiency and reliability of turbines.
WIND
SITE:
In
Inox, investment in wind sites are made once sufficient wind data has
been collected for suitable periods of time, the data has undergone
rigorous analysis and generation estimates are made using latest
software. For this reason, Inox has already installed a large number
of wind masts at different location across the country to select best
possible sites. All of Inox’s wind masts are operating successfully
capturing data for sufficiently long period of time. Our Wind
Resource team analyzes this data and makes generation, which are then
used to shortlist suitable wind sites. The data are independently
analyzed and duly vetted by world renowned international consultants
such as GH
of UK,
before the sites are selected for Wind Farm Development.
PROJECT,
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE TEAM:
Inox
has strong team to take care of operation and maintenance activities.
Our team is capable of handling challenges that may arise with
respect to the project and site. We have also built strong liaison
capabilities to care of balance of plant activities and
infrastructure including power evacuation.
