Why don't we have Solar Air-Conditioners for homes?

This is more of a wish-list kinda post. One sure thing that kills us all during summer in India is the sun's heat. But the same sun also provides abundant light during summers. Why can't we take advantage of it and manufacture/sell solar air-conditioners? 

I know we can set-up solar panels, inverters, charge-controllers, batteries and connect air-conditioners to such a system. But, these are generally planned for the whole house. I am talking about stand-alone solar air-conditioners with solar panels/inverters/batteries tailored to its capacity. If such a product/combination is available, people can buy them and take their A/c off-grid. 

As you might know, air-conditioners guzzle up a lot of electricity and during peak hours, some of them may not work at all (due to low-voltage and excessive demand for electricity during summers). Besides, even in the cities we have the perennial problem of power-cuts. In the rural areas, the number of hours of power-availability is less than the number of hours of power-cuts!! Especially during summer. 

If we can store solar energy during the day (in batteries), it can be used during nights to power an air-conditioner at home. I know we have everything available independently - Solar panels, batteries, inverters, charge-controllers, air-conditioners, etc. But, someone needs to combine all of them and provide an integrated solution (that is also cost-effective). Based on the model of A/c we buy, we should be automatically given an option of buying a solar kit, along with it.

If you are a manufacturer of either solar panels or air-conditioners, you can use this idea and come up with a solar air-conditioner package and market it as such. On the other hand, if you already supply such systems, do comment below (along with details, locations serviced, etc.) so that it will be easier for people to find your company. 

Please people: Bring solar air-conditioners as soon as possible. Summer is fast approaching!!!!!!!

I have found one company that is into manufacturing of air-conditioners specifically to be used with solar panels. But I am not sure if they have a supply chain in India - Kingtec Solar.
