  • NAPL (Nisco Aegis Polymers P. Ltd) is a joint venture between Nu-Tech industrial spares and services (India) & Aegis Rubber Engineering (UK), that manufactures rubber bushes for various industries. NAPL makes and supplies rubber vibration isolators and anti-vibration components for the wind turbine industry in India and elsewhere. NAPL has a manufacturing facility near Chennai in India.

Vibration isolators are required for engines, generators and other equipment that results in continuous vibrations, as a result of their operation. When these systems are mounted/restrained, they often include vibration isolators for isolating the machine vibrations from the mountings in order to reduce damage and prolong the life of the mounted equipment. Hence, vibrating bodies are attached to the bed via a rubber mounting system.

According to NAPL, vibration isolation requires mounts made of special rubber that makes them soft and hard at the same time and can only be manufactured by a company that has significant understanding of both vibration engineering and rubber.

For the wind turbine industry, NAPL manufactures and supplies generator mounts, gearbox bushes, link arms & couplings, bump stops, among other components. Their product portfolio for the wind industry includes,

    • Bushes - Load range: 0.5kN to 600kN, Size: OD 10-400mm
    • Sandwich Mounts - Load range: 0.1kN to 450kN
    • Bump stops - Load range: 0.5kN to 50kN, Size: 10t-250mm
    • Couplings - Power: 250kW-2MW
    • Generator mounts - Load 0.5kN - 200kN
    • Special vibration isolators including ball joints & tunion bushes for high axial & torsional load
