Woodward IDS (formerly Integral Drive Systems) is a manufacturer of power electronic systems/ inverters for large utility/ commercial-scale solar power plants. They also offer solutions for energy storage, distribution and marine propulsion systems.
Woodward manufactures SOLO series solar inverters. They employ current switching, liquid-cooling and MPPT technologies to maximize the power output. SOLO inverters are available in multiple models with output ratings ranging from 100 KW to 1000 KW.
Their inverters are available for indoor, outdoor, high-altitude and extended-temperature applications. The liquid cooling technique employed by Woodward is unique for grid-connected PV inverters. Some inverter models manufactured by them include SOLO250, SOLO500, SOLO1000-D, etc.
Woodward also manufactures high-power inverter stations, string boxes and central control stations for solar PV applications.
