Started in 1998, Grundfos India is a subsidiary of Grundfos, Denmark. Their manufacturing facility is in Chennai (which is a certified green building/factory) and they have branch offices in 20 locations across India. Grundfos manufactures solar pumps (pumps that can be operated using solar panels/renewable energy technologies) and solar thermal circulator pumps that are used in solar thermal systems.
Grundfos supplies SQFlex family of pumps that are fitted with permanent magnet motor and can be used with renewable power sources like solar panels and wind turbines. A battery backup system can enable users to operate this pump even when renewable energy is not available/insufficient. Their SQFlex pumps are compatible with both AC and DC systems, without requiring an external inverter. Their SQFlex pumps consists of 10 different pumps - six centrifugal pumps for greater flow rate and four helical rotor pumps for higher head requirements.
