During the recent RENERGY 2013 exhibition at Chennai Trade Center (India), Smart Energy Trade introduced Sun Invention Plug & Save solar modules, that are practically plug & play! Sun Invention is basically a German company and they manufacture these plug & save solar modules. Smart Energy Trade represent them in India.
Each of the Sun Invention solar modules are manufactured with built-in inverter, battery, mounting accessories, etc. Basically, these are ready-made power plants which come with power sockets! The solar modules are rated at 195 W (Pmax). The batteries are Lithium-ion batteries (same type used in laptops) and they are rated at 3.2V/15 Ah (8 nos) and can supply power even during nights (as long as stored power during the day is available).
It seems, these modules can be connected with each other and have a modular structure. That means, one can buy a single panel initially and then add more panels as and when more power is required (later on). The mounting structure is also included along with the Sun Invention Plug & Save solar panels.
The manufacturer provides 3 year warranty for the complete system, 10 year warranty for solar panel & inverter, 25 year performance guarantee (80% of Pmax) for solar panels. The model that comes with integrated energy storage is called Optimus.
Sun Invention also manufactures to more types of Plug & Save solar modules without energy storage: Light & Basic. The specifications are almost similar to the above mentioned model.

The solar module can be seen behind the presenter, who came from Sun Invention Germany for the launch. **Actually, I tried to take a photograph of him, but he doesn't stop for a single moment while talking!!
