The Danish Wind Energy Group and Danish Wind Energy Association participated in the recent Wind Power India 2012 exhibition/conference, held at Chennai (India). Ten companies from Denmark exhibited their products and services, related to the wind energy segment. In this post, I have given a short introduction to each company, and the products/services offered by them to Indian manufacturers and customers (companies mentioned below are in no particular order).
1. Windar Photonics A/S
Windar Photonics manufactures Windar wind sensor that is fixed on the top of the nacelle. It can measure wind direction and wind speeds at a distance of 80 meters from the front of the blades. With the help of this wind sensor, a wind turbine can position itself quickly according to the new wind direction which results in higher efficiency and less stress on the vital components of the wind turbine, according to the manufacturer.

3. PMC Technology A/S
PMC WINDSYN develops lubrication/cooling systems & hydraulic solutions for wind turbines. They offer customized lubrication, filtering and cooling systems for gearboxes used in the wind turbine industry. They also provide integrated yaw, drive or brake systems for a hydraulic power unit to provide power for wind turbine pitch control.

4. Mita Teknik
Mita Teknik offers control systems for the wind turbine industry. They provide control systems, condition monitoring systems, electrical pitch systems, park communication systems, SCADA software, etc. specifically made for the wind energy industry.

5. M Seals A/S
M Seals manufactures seals that can be used within the nacelle, in wind turbines. They manufacture oil seals, grease seals, O rings, gaskets, rubber parts, etc. They manufacture seals for main bearing housing, dust/grease seals for yaw movement, grease sealing to oil sealing conversion in the main bearing of turbines, shaft sealing in gearbox, hydraulic sealing in pitch control systems, etc.

Hydra-Grene specializes in Gearoil Lubrication - Filtering, pitch and water cooling systems. Fibox specializes in design, manufacture and testing of control units, specific to wind power industry. They manufacture control panel enclosures and accessories.
